Special Piano Handling

For baby, grand and other heavy high valued pianos

For delicate and valuable pianos such as baby grands and other heavy models, we strongly recommend the creation of a custom wooden crate in your home prior to the move. Our team will wrap the piano using our specially designed international wrapping material, ensuring a high level of protection. This meticulous approach guarantees that the piano is handled with utmost care during the transition from your home to the shipping container.
Additionally, the crate allows our packing crews to optimize the space in the container without exerting any pressure on the piano.
There are certain regulations and important considerations regarding the transportation of pianos that you should be aware of. Specifically, ivory key pianos may not be permitted in certain cities or destinations, and if allowed, they may require special permits. We would be more than happy to discuss these requirements with you as needed.
While we are not certified piano specialists ourselves, we do not provide tuning services upon arrival at the destination. It is essential for you to contact a specialist to have the piano tuned after it has been delivered.

Custom Wood Crating

Our custom wood crating service is specifically designed for fragile, high-value, or sentimental items. Each item undergoes careful measurement, and a tailor-made wooden crate is constructed accordingly.

All of the wood we use is treated and meets the required standards for international shipments. Crating provides the highest level of protection against adverse weather conditions, vibrations, and other unforeseen factors. If you're unsure which items should be crated, don't worry. With our extensive experience in this field, here are some recommendations of items that are typically crated:
Certainly! Here's the updated code with a checkmark icon for each item using HTML and CSS: ```html

  • Oil Paintings
  • Pianos
  • Vehicles
  • Large ceramic vases
  • Large pieces of granite or marble
  • Large mirrors or glass table tops
  • Any other fragile items that hold sentimental value and cannot be easily replaced.

If you have any doubts about whether a particular item should be crated, please feel free to contact us. Our specialists will be more than happy to provide guidance and assistance.

Safes & Vaults

Regardless of the size, weight, or type of safe you possess, we are equipped to handle its relocation. However, it is essential to note that all valuable items stored within the safe should be removed and transported separately by you during your journey to the destination.
Customs regulations also stipulate that the safe must remain unlocked during transport, and we strongly recommend removing the safe door whenever feasible.

Fine Arts Export Permits

Religious statues, Buddha statues, paintings, and other items that may be perceived as "fine art" necessitate a Fine Arts Export Permit. This requirement applies even to decorative statues obtained at local markets, regardless of their low cost. However, it's important to note that not every piece of artwork requires such a permit.
Rest assured, your child's finger painting, for example, does not fall under this category and does not require a permit 😊

Obtaining the Fine Arts Export Permit is a straightforward process, and we handle it on your behalf. We collect all the Fine Arts items you possess and proceed to the Department of Fine Arts, where we obtain the necessary export permit.

The great news is that, irrespective of the quantity of Fine Arts you possess (within reasonable limits), we only need to secure one permit to cover them all.

Extra Large & Heavy Items

At USP Relocations (Phuket), we have extensive experience in handling a wide range of items. Whether it's a 15 ft long teak dining table or a magnificent marble statue that would impress even Michelangelo, we have encountered and successfully moved them all.

Rest assured that we are capable of handling virtually any item you may have (in most cases). We offer safe and secure transportation, shipping, and storage solutions. However, if you ever have any doubts or questions about a specific item or piece of furniture, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to assist you and provide the necessary guidance.

Buddha Heads, Hands & Feet

Regrettably, it is important to note that while Buddha heads, hands, and feet are readily available for purchase at local markets throughout Thailand, the country strictly prohibits their import and export. This restriction also extends to any Buddha statue that is not a complete full-body representation (partial statues). If such items are discovered in your shipping container, they will be removed, potentially causing delays and incurring port storage charges for your shipment. We strive to prevent any such complications from occurring during your relocation.

While there is a possibility of taking these items with you on the plane, we strongly advise against it. Instead, we recommend either selling or gifting them before your departure to avoid any potential issues.
